Thornton & Grooms was founded on a commitment to quality and superior service since its beginnings in 1937. Thornton & Grooms is proud to be involved in programs that help enrich the lives of many people and communities.
The following projects are just a sample of the many community programs in which everyone at Thornton & Grooms is proud to be an active participant.

Members of Thornton & Grooms have done a lot of work with Samaritans Purse, traveling to Kiln, Mississippi to work on homes effected by Hurricane Katrina and held a fundraiser for Katrina relief immediately after the storm.
When fire destroyed the small village of Hooper Bay, Alaska, Thornton & Grooms went and installed all the plumbing and heating systems to the new community center.
Active with BASCC (Birmingham Area Senior Coordinating Council) a local organization that assists low-income seniors in our area who need help with home repairs.
Work with Helping Hands another local organization that helps low income families who need help making home repairs.
We support the Nexstar Legacy Foundation one of the industry’s leaders with financial and educational help for those in need. Scholarships are awarded to individuals who are seeking to improve themselves through our industry by providing funds and educational opportunities they would otherwise not have access to. One of the recent scholarship recipients was from our area.
