2009 Hearts & Heroes Program Nomination/Judging Criteria |
OverviewThrough the Hearts & Heroes program, Thornton & Grooms will donate $1,000 each month to a different charitable organization (civic or service group, foundation, trust, corporation or association) or individual who has demonstrated a commitment to a cause or issue affecting the lives or quality of life for Detroit-area residents. Conditions:- To be eligible for a Hearts & Heroes award, candidates must have a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt status.
- Hearts & Heroes candidates can receive a $1,000 award only once in a 12 month period.
- Candidates for Hearts & Heroes award consideration may nominate themselves or be nominated by another party.
- There is no limit to the number of times a candidate can be nominated.
- If your charity is not selected for the award you must nominate them again for consideration.
- All nominations must be submitted using the Hearts & Heroes nomination form.
- Candidates, who have not received a Hearts & Heroes Award within 12 months, are eligible for consideration each month they are nominated.
- By accepting the Hearts & Heroes award, recipients agree to participate in TGI public relations materials/activities, as well as be featured on TGI’s website.
- All nominations and nominees will be reviewed to ensure that nominees exemplify the established criteria.
- All decisions made by the Hearts & Heroes judges are final.
TimingMonthly awards will be announced on the 5th of each month.
For award consideration in the upcoming month, nominations must be received by TGI by the 25th of that month.
The charitable recipient will receive the $1,000 award by the 10th of each month.
