Hearts & Heroes Award 

At Thornton & Grooms we understand the need to help the less fortunate in our community. As a local, family-owned and operated business since 1937, we continue to give back to the community through our Hearts & Heroes Award. The Hearts & Heroes Award was originally created to provide help to local charitable groups and organizations facing growing challenges due to the economy. It has since evolved to help bring things even closer to home.

Each month, our Hearts & Heroes Award will now provide assistance to a local individual or family in need by installing a FREE furnace, air conditioner or water heater depending on their circumstance(s). Consideration for the next Hearts & Heroes award will be given to those who complete a nomination form explaining why you or someone you know would be the best candidate for a furnace, air conditioner or water heater.

Hearts & Heroes History

Since 2009, Thornton & Grooms has donated over $20,000 to local charities nominated by local customers. The mission was simple and successful; inspire friends, neighbors, customers and other businesses to join together to help our community and families facing difficult times. ”We realize how great the need is with the number of entries we have received. Over the last year and a half, awarding and conversing with the recipients has been the highlight of each month,” said Mike Bergstrom, Vice President of Thornton & Grooms.
