National Consumer Protection Week, according to their website, “is an annual campaign among government and non-profit entities that encourages consumers to take full advantage of their consumer rights and make better-informed decisions in the marketplace.”

Thornton & Grooms, a local heating and cooling company, wants homeowners to take advantage of up to $450 in rebates that Consumers Energy is offering for customers who make energy-efficient home improvements. When combined with incentives that Thornton & Grooms is offering, consumers can save more than $1,600 on a new high-efficiency heating and cooling system.

Thornton & Grooms, a local heating and cooling company, is partnering with the Royal Oak Community Coalition to conduct a blanket and coat drive for local shelters through January 31^st.  The goal is to keep local seniors, children and adults warm through the harsh winter months. All items donated will be given to local shelters. Farmington Hills, MI (December 14, 2011) –Thornton & Grooms, a local plumbing, heating and cooling company, donated $1,000 to Leader Dogs for the Blind on December 13  to support the charity’s work in providing leader dogs and training at no charge to blind and visually impaired teens and adults.

Thornton & Grooms, a local heating and cooling company, is conducting a food drive for local food banks through December 9 with the goal of collecting 4,000 pounds of food. Food that is collected will be donated to food banks, including Lady of Charity at St. Hugo’s and several others. Thornton & Grooms is offering additional discounts off services with donations of five cans or boxes or more, in hopes of collecting non-perishable items from the homes they service.
